Never Let Me Go
I just finished reading a novel by Kazuo Ishiguro called "Never Let Me Go." Not to spoil the plot too much for those interested, it has this dystopian theme to it in the background - it is handled in such an ordinary manner that you never get the sense of how out-of-this-world it is. What the story truly is about at the front and center is the friendship of three friends through time and the revelation of what their lives are about. It really moved me, especially the way it concluded.
There is a movie adaptation of the book soon to come out this year with Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan as the two female leads. I do not know about the casting choices, but I definitely do look forward to it regardless just because of how brilliantly the material was presented in words.
